Grundeis
Almost three years have passed, since the Hamburg band Grundeis (founded
in 2018) have released a dark post-punk firework with gothic and shoegaze nuances on their debut album "Amygdala" (VÖ11/2021). The first album has terrifically been accepted and discussed in the national and international press and audiences, the LP edition has been sold out in a very short time.

For the second album "Every Second an Ocean" (released December 12, 2024 on UNDRESSED
Records) the band took their time. Time that was especially necessary for one
opening and change. The name of the long player reflects the intensity
and power of the second record: 14 songs, over an hour playing time, a
monument of an album.
Grundeis significantly expand their creative circle on the new album.
Despite the long playing time, there is no indifference to music/content.
You don't want to miss any of the songs, no number only serves as filler. Brave
and skillfully the band maneuvers between dreamy shoegaze ballads,
powerful, hard noise rock and snotty post-punk. Grundeis show a new musical and personal self-confidence. The deep traumas of Amygdalas seem overcome, albeit with emotional depth and honesty
also flowed into the record grooves of "Every Second an Ocean".
In 2024, Grundeis will prove once again, why they are traded as one of the hottest German newcomer bands since their debute and will manifest their claim to be a serious international rock act.
